[CONTEST] Win an OWL art print from Jen! (winner announced)

We have a winner! See comments for details. Thanks to everyone who entered. It was fun!

It's that time again -- contest time!

This month, we're offering some very special illustrations from Jen's Etsy store. These cute, matching owls are named Harry & Bernadette, and they are going as a pair because they are lovers and didn't want to be separated.

They are printed with archival ink on acid-free paper and come in protective plastic sleeves. Also, they will be mailed in a sturdy cardboard mailer to ensure safe arrival.

So what do I have to do to win?

Good question. There are actually three different ways to enter this time, and each one will earn you a unique entry for a total of three. The contest will run for one week from today, meaning we'll have the randomizer random drawing on Tuesday, November 17, 2009 at noon Eastern time.

Here's how to earn up to THREE entries:

1) Re-tweet the following message on Twitter:

@jenandtommy are giving away 2 FREE "Owl" art prints!
http://jenandtommy.com #etsy #owls

2) Leave a comment on this post telling us why you think Owls are so darn cute.

3) Send Jen a convo on Etsy telling her you saw this blog post and why you should win the Owl illustrations.

That's it! So now you know how to earn up to 3 unique entries in the contest. You can only get 3, but the more you RT and spread the word, the more the randomizer gods will probably smile on you. (don't laugh, it's true. it's worked for me in the past.)

If you love Owls, you will love these prints. And by the way, be sure to check out Jen's Etsy shop, nspire, from time to time to see her latest work! She's got everything from illustrations to handmade buttons to felted ipod cases to reuseable coffee cup cozies, and she's ALWAYS up for some good old-fashioned trading.

Good luck! *hoot*

  1. Owls are one of my favorite animals, way back from the Tootsie Roll pop owl. :-) They are wise but can also be silly (O RLY owl, anyone?) and beautiful.

I collect bird prints, so these owls would fit into my group of feathered friends perfectly!

  3. oh, i LOVE these owls! i love retro, old looking art, and a lot of older art is owl-inspired (and is totally making a comeback!). my husband and i are trying to conceive, and i plan on doing our (hopefully soon) future child's room in retro owls and colors. these prints would be amazing to put in the room, and something the child could have when he/she is older to take with them to their own house (my grandmother made me a few prints when i was born and i still have them today :)).

  4. Kandi: Wow! That's such a great comment :) Whatever happens with the contest, we wish you the best of luck, blessings, health and happiness with your future child(ren). It's nice to hear of art as something being passed down through the generations.

  5. Congrats to @obnoxiouskandi on winning the contest! We'll ship out your prize tomorrow. (We use Random.org's generator to randomize a list of everyone who entered, up to 3 entries per person. Then, we randomize the list 10 times, and whoever gets the most #1's out of 10 times is the winner. Kandi got 6 hits thanks mostly to her grabbing all three possible entries. Nice work! We'll have another contest before Christmas, if we get everything unpacked after our upcoming move to New Hampshire.
