Aiming Low in Boston.

Tommy, why are you "aiming low", you say? Well, it's not what you think.

Aiming Low is a blog site made up of over 17 talented moms/wives/writers/etc who - well - aim low week after week. Their dedication is staggering. For example, they try to do as little as possible when creating business cards for themselves, which is why they love how easy HP makes business card printing with their new line of home and small business printers.

In light of this fact, HP decided to sponsor an event for the Aiming Low team. Two, actually. One in Boston, which we were lucky enough to get invited to by @AngelaAtHP (via Twitter), and one in New York City.

The Boston event was held at the Sheraton downtown. In honor of the gals at AimingLow.com, I decided to "aim low" myself and put off writing this blog post for an entire week after the event! Ladies: am I hired as a guest writer, or what? ;)

So anyway, I will now post a bunch of random pictures from the event, entirely out of order because it would take way too long to organize them:

Pre-event mingling: free food + booze!

Lots of the freshest, sweetest fruit you could ask for.

Boozing it up.

Bartender hard at work: he was a blur all night!

They had a bunch of printing stations set up everywhere so you could print free photos and try out the new equipment. They asked attendees to bring flash drives with photos on them for testing.

Not every Aiming Low blogger could attend, so the crafty clique created "virtual" aiming low-ers!

Technology at it's finest: they had a live Twitter stream on the big screen so we could all read each others tweets throughout the event....

There's one of ours!

They even had a real camera crew filming for the HP website - we were interviewed at the end of the evening, because......

.....we won a brand new HP PhotoSmart Web Printer! (Click the link to learn more about this amazing printer. It's SO cool.) Holy cow, talk about lucky. Some of you may know I won another HP printer earlier this year through a totally different website, but that was an OfficeJet printer - the HP 8500 Wireless OfficeJet. This one is from the PhotoSmart series, meaning it's specially designed for printing photos. Let me tell you, the photo print quality is unmatched for home printers. In fact, I'd say it even outdoes drug store photomats.

The big feature is that this is the first printer to connect to the internet - no PC needed to print directions, photos, etc. straight from the web! Plus it has a huge touch screen, similar to an iPhone. Thanks again to @AngelaAtHP for facilitating the event! WE LOVE our new printers!

More loot from the event: office goodies from @StaplesTweets, plus a $100 gift card to Staples and HP gift cards as well. All in all, I'd say the night was quite a success.

Plus, we met some hilarious, hot women who had no problem teaching us to "aim low". Thanks again ladies!

what a great recap! So glad to hear someone else is in love with the HP webprinter as much as I am... and since I couldn't be at the event- your recap was the next best thing to being there- especially the blurry bartender! CONGRATS!

I am so glad you had such a great time and double whoot whoot for winning the printer! And yes, aiming low dictates that the post goes up at least a week after the event ;)

Holy nuts! You guys are awesome. Not just because you won, but because you're awesome. (I said it twice, that means I really mean it.)

I LOVED meeting you both and SO happy you won!

Congratulations on winning that fantastic prize! I'm sorry to have missed the trip this time around...I didn't even know our tweets were being shown like that!

I know - it's funny seeing the tweets totally out of context, like the whipped cream one before ours, then the lobster ravioli one afterwards. smorgasborg-style. hopefully everyone who coouldn't make it will be at the next one!

Did you all see that Jen is finally on the "leggings" bandwagon, which means they're probably going to go out of style any day now... talk about aiming low! Try waiting like 5 years before jumping on a clothing trend. :) http://bit.ly/2Ge9ft

Oh man you got the Lobster Ravioli in there. I'm going to dream about those for the rest of my life. I'm only a little super jealous that you won that printer, it makes my heart go pitter patter. On a completely unrelated note, where do you live and when will your home next be empty for an extended period of time? ;D

Also, upon further review, you caught my mom checking in with the HP table on the left in Boozin' it up. I feel special.

Aha! So you guys are the ones who won the HP Web Printer just as I was telling you that I was standing next to the woman who won earlier. Congrats! I'd like to think that I brought you some good mojo... =}

That's us! You definitely helped us win with your mojo. Feel free to stand next to us anytime :)
