Tommy, why are you "aiming low", you say? Well, it's not what you think.
Aiming Low is a blog site made up of over 17 talented moms/wives/writers/etc who - well - aim low week after week. Their dedication is staggering. For example, they try to do as little as possible when creating business cards for themselves, which is why they love how easy HP makes business card printing with their new line of home and small business printers.
In light of this fact, HP decided to sponsor an event for the Aiming Low team. Two, actually. One in Boston, which we were lucky enough to get invited to by @AngelaAtHP (via Twitter), and one in New York City.
The Boston event was held at the Sheraton downtown. In honor of the gals at AimingLow.com, I decided to "aim low" myself and put off writing this blog post for an entire week after the event! Ladies: am I hired as a guest writer, or what? ;)
So anyway, I will now post a bunch of random pictures from the event, entirely out of order because it would take way too long to organize them:
They had a bunch of printing stations set up everywhere so you could print free photos and try out the new equipment. They asked attendees to bring flash drives with photos on them for testing.
Technology at it's finest: they had a live Twitter stream on the big screen so we could all read each others tweets throughout the event....
There's one of ours!
They even had a real camera crew filming for the HP website - we were interviewed at the end of the evening, because......
.....we won a brand new HP PhotoSmart Web Printer! (Click the link to learn more about this amazing printer. It's SO cool.) Holy cow, talk about lucky. Some of you may know I won another HP printer earlier this year through a totally different website, but that was an OfficeJet printer - the HP 8500 Wireless OfficeJet. This one is from the PhotoSmart series, meaning it's specially designed for printing photos. Let me tell you, the photo print quality is unmatched for home printers. In fact, I'd say it even outdoes drug store photomats.
The big feature is that this is the first printer to connect to the internet - no PC needed to print directions, photos, etc. straight from the web! Plus it has a huge touch screen, similar to an iPhone. Thanks again to @AngelaAtHP for facilitating the event! WE LOVE our new printers!
More loot from the event: office goodies from @StaplesTweets, plus a $100 gift card to Staples and HP gift cards as well. All in all, I'd say the night was quite a success.
Plus, we met some hilarious, hot women who had no problem teaching us to "aim low". Thanks again ladies!
